Correct. The program is privately funded. There is no cost to participating students or to the companies that get involved.
As little as you want. It can be a single speaker session (virtual or in person at the school), a single office visit, mentor feedback on a student’s business plan, or a summer internship. Every commitment is defined and limited, so you always know what you are agreeing to.
Yes. Every student earned a place through an application, recommendation letters, and an interview, and students are briefed before each tour and session. A coordinator briefs both sides in advance.
A coordinator manages every part of the program, preparing students, briefing partners, making matches, and following up.
Students opt in and earn their place through an application, recommendation letters, and an interview. Self-motivation is the entry requirement.
No, and we are deliberate about that. The program opens doors and prepares students to walk through them. We never promise an outcome we cannot guarantee, because honest framing protects everyone's trust.
The program is in its first year, with a founding cohort at Booker T. Washington High School. Speakers and company tours run through the 2026-2027 school year, the business plan competition is in late spring, and the first internships are in summer 2027.
